Details

This report considers key findings of 2 projects from the Skilled Managers Productive Workplaces research programme:

  • a randomised controlled trial (RCT) in 24 organisations (funded by the Economic and Social Research Council, Grant Ref: ES/S012796/2)
  • a 'before and after' evaluation in 38 small and micro organisations (funded by Acas)

Skilled Managers Productive Workplaces involved development and testing of an online skills intervention designed to boost managers' conflict confidence and competence. The programme explored the relationship between managerial capability and the management of workplace conflict.
