Our training levels

We have training at different levels, to suit your training needs and experience in a topic.

We offer courses on conflict management and leadership at the following levels:

  • foundation
  • developing
  • skilled
  • accredited

Foundation

Attendees will gain an introductory insight into a topic. These courses are suitable for beginners and people who are looking to refresh their knowledge.

Developing

Attendees will build skills and gain a working knowledge of everyday employment principles and procedures. This training is aimed at people with basic knowledge or experience in the topic.

Skilled

Attendees will gain an in-depth understanding of the topic and an opportunity to practise skills to support their organisation. This training is aimed at people with good knowledge or experience in the topic.

Accredited

Attendees who successfully complete accredited courses will attain nationally recognised certification.

Certificate in Internal Workplace Mediation (CIWM)

The Certificate in Internal Workplace Mediation (CIWM) is a 5-day, accredited training course from Acas. 

We've trained over 4,000 internal workplace mediators, with a course based on our unique experience as the experts in resolving disputes and managing conflict at work.

Acas has worked with academic experts to develop conflict management online learning for people managers.

The course is designed for new managers and develops skills in handling conflict at work. It includes 4 modules and 12 months' access to an online toolkit.
