Workplace expert Acas has welcomed the government's focus on improving workforce relations.
The government has today published the Employment Rights Bill, marking the start of its employment law reform programme.
Acas is committed to making working life better for everyone in Britain. Acas will continue to support government, employers and employees to work through the practical changes required to implement these reforms successfully.
Acas Interim Chief Executive Dan Ellis said:
"It is good to see workplace relations taking centre stage today. Well-managed workplaces with good relations are more productive, more profitable, more resilient, and more likely to contribute to economic growth.
"We have already been engaging with the government and listening to employers and employees, drawing on our unique expertise and experience to inform thinking on the legislative programme.
"We will continue to work with the government and key stakeholders to support businesses and their staff to prepare for new regulations."
Acas has expertise in helping parties maintain good relations and gives employers, and workers and their representatives free, impartial advice on workplace rights, rules and best practice. Acas also offers training and help to resolve workplace disputes.
